Choosing an electric cooker
Measure first. Confirm the electrical requirements before delivery.
Choosing for a busy household, a first home or a replacement that cannot wait? Like New brings graded and refurbished options together, with delivery across the Midlands towns on our delivery map—not Leicester alone.
Match the appliance to the kitchen
Check the exact cooker width, height and depth, including handles and the space needed to open the oven door. Compare the manufacturer’s clearance requirements with nearby units and surfaces. A nominal width alone is not a complete fit check.
Think about the cooking you do
- Compare usable oven capacity, shelf positions and whether you need a separate grill.
- Check whether the hob is solid plate, ceramic or induction.
- For induction, check that your pans are suitable for the model.
- Look at the controls and how easily you can reach and read them.
- Ask about the actual item’s trays, shelves, cosmetic condition and supplied accessories.
Do not assume it uses a normal plug
Electrical requirements differ by model. Have a suitably qualified installer check the manufacturer’s instructions and the existing supply before ordering. We do not provide DIY wiring instructions. Do not assume a cooker is plug-in because a similar model is.
Our cooker service
Cookers are delivery only: installation and disconnection are not included. Free recycling requires the old appliance to be safely disconnected and ready for collection. Arrange any necessary disconnection with an appropriate professional. Payment is after delivery and inspection, as agreed.
Before confirming
Send the model you want, your postcode and the opening measurements. Tell us about stairs or restricted access. Agree delivery, the condition of the actual unit and what is included; photographs do not establish electrical compatibility.
